Sam was commissioned by The Playroom, an indoor children’s play space in Thetford, to create a series of custom-built role play units designed to spark imagination and creativity. Working closely with the client, Sam built four themed structures: a construction site, two shop units, and a bakery complete with a serving hatch.

Each unit was constructed using sturdy CLS stud-work and clad in MDF, with doors and windows carefully cut and framed to create realistic, child-friendly spaces. Additional cladding details were added to give each unit its own character and definition.

To complete the project, Sam also built two plant-style structures to form a welcoming entrance and reception counter for the venue. All units were painted by the client once installation was complete, ready to delight young visitors and bring the space to life.
